Our History
Building Community and Tradition at the Heart of Bradley Beach
The Bradley Beach Shul was founded in 1898 to serve the Jewish community of Bradley Beach and surrounding areas. Originally established as a small gathering place for local Jewish families, the Shul quickly became a central hub for worship, religious study, and community events. Over the years, it has expanded both in size and offerings, accommodating the needs of a growing congregation and adapting to the changing dynamics of our community.
Located by the coast of Bradley Beach, the Shul has maintained a commitment to traditional Jewish values while embracing the diversity of its members. It hosts regular Shabbat services, holiday celebrations, and educational programs that cater to all ages, from children’s learning groups to adult study sessions. The Shul also serves as a venue for life events, including weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and memorial services, supporting members through all stages of life.
